This Privacy Policy explains how No Worries! Lifestyle, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), operator of TinyStar Books, collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website and order a personalized children's book. By placing an order or using the service, you agree to this Policy. It works together with our Terms of Service and the Consent Form.

1. Children's information and parental consent

Our books are created from a photo and details about a child, but the service is intended for use only by adults. We do not knowingly let children use the service or provide information to us directly. Information about a child is provided by the child's parent or legal guardian, who must give consent at checkout before we create anything. By submitting a child's photo and details, you confirm that you are that child's parent or legal guardian and that you have the right to provide them. If you believe a child's information was provided without proper authority, contact us at support@tinystarbooks.com and we will delete it.

2. Information we collect

From you (the purchasing adult): your name, email address, shipping address, and order details. Payment is processed by Shopify and our payment provider — we do not receive or store full card numbers.

About the child, to create the book: one uploaded photo, the child's first name, age, a short personality description, and any optional extras you choose to add (such as a dedication, back-cover note, occasion, tone, or an additional character).

Automatically: standard technical and usage data (such as IP address, browser type, and cookies) collected through our store platform, plus request metadata we record with your consent as evidence that consent was given.

3. How we use information

To create your personalized book, including using the uploaded photo to generate AI-illustrated artwork and a personalized story.
To have a person review the artwork for quality and safety before production.
To produce, fulfill, ship, and deliver your physical and/or digital book.
To provide customer support and communicate with you about your order.
To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and unsafe or illegal content.
To meet legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.

4. How the photo is used

The photo you upload is used solely to create the artwork for your book — it is sent to our AI image provider to generate illustrated characters and pages, reviewed by a person for quality and safety, and used to produce your book. We do not use uploaded photos to train AI models for unrelated purposes, sell them, or use them to create merchandise or other products beyond the book you ordered.

5. Who we share information with (subprocessors)

We share information only with service providers that help us run the service, and only as needed for the purposes above. These include:

Shopify — our store, checkout, and payment platform (order, customer, and payment data).
OpenAI — AI generation of the artwork and story (the uploaded photo and the child's details).
Printify and its print partners — printing and shipping of physical books (the generated print files and your shipping address).
Google Cloud — secure hosting and storage of uploaded and generated files.
Our email provider — order and delivery notifications.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.

6. How we store and protect information

Uploaded and generated files are kept private by default and are accessible only through short-lived, signed links — never as public URLs. Information about the child is stored in our own controlled systems; Shopify order line items carry only opaque internal references plus a short label (the child's first name and chosen art style) so you can tell books apart in your cart and order confirmation. We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. How long we keep information

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. By default:

Uploads that are never completed into an order are deleted within about 14 days.
The source photo for a completed order is deleted about 30 days after the order is finished.
Generated images, print files, and PDFs are deleted after about 90 days.
Digital download links expire after about 14 days or a maximum number of downloads.
Minimal transaction and audit records (without the photo) are kept for up to about 1 year, or longer where law requires.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information, and to request a copy of it. To make a request, contact us at support@tinystarbooks.com. When we honor a deletion request, we delete the private files (including the child's photo) and redact personal information, while keeping the minimal transaction and audit records needed for accounting, tax, and fraud and abuse prevention. Some data already sent to a service provider may be subject to that provider's own deletion process and timelines.

9. Content safety

To keep the service safe, uploaded photos and generated images may be automatically screened and, where necessary, reviewed by a designated person. If we detect content we reasonably believe may be illegal — in particular content that may depict the sexual abuse or exploitation of a child — we will block the order, preserve and handle the material as required by law, and report it to the appropriate authorities.

10. Payments

Payments are processed by Shopify and its payment partners under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not store full payment card details.

11. Cookies and analytics

Our store uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your cart, and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work without them.

12. International data transfers

We and our service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date, and where required we will obtain renewed consent.
